Terminal
This is one of the very good English movies I have watched recently, although it was released couple of years back. Very subtle but appealing performance by Tom Hanks leaves me in great admiration for this actor. Credit to Speilberg for creating a nice movie with a wafer-thin story.
Of course there have been instances where Speilberg compromised the practical reality for making the film more entertaining. For instance, the scene where the Indian, Gupta Rajan walks on the runway with a mop in his hand....!! But then, I guess Speilberg conceived this as a thoroughly entertaining movie and such scenes are better to be viewed without confusing with too many logical questions.
Tom Hanks lives as Victor Naworski and delivers a spell-bound performance. Though this may not be his greatest, it is definitely one such performance which is easily bound to capture your hearts. The scene where he tries to go out of the airport but suddenly realises the presence of cameras monitoring him, is one of my personal favorites in the movie. He speaks a lot just by his experssions.
Hats off to Tom Hanks & Speilberg for the very good entertainment.
